NSF grant objectives

OVERARCHING GOALS:  To build capacity in Information Technology and Manufacturing Technology in the regions served by CREATE institutions; and to disseminate widely the effective practices of the CREATE Regional Center.

OBJECTIVE 1. Increase pools of pedagogically trained teachers in all areas of NSF ATE-funded technical areas, with priority given to Information Technology and Manufacturing Technology.

NSF-ATE Sponsored Facilitator Development Workshop - 4/1/06

OBJECTIVE 2. Increase accessibility and availability of 2+2+2 pathways and articulation in the fields of Information Technology and Manufacturing Technology.

 

OBJECTIVE 3. Develop, adapt, and implement regionally programs in information technology, engineering technology, and manufacturing technology that reflect existing and emerging industry needs and which incorporate industry examples and student worksite experiences.

OBJECTIVE 4. Develop and implement a model assessment and evaluation that will follow-up with past and future students to apprise them of increased program and transfer opportunities and to measure longitudinally the success of the educational experience and disseminate the findings.

 

OBJECTIVE 5. Develop and implement a plan to sustain and institutionalize the CREATE partnerships and consortium after Center funding is completed.
